Tekbit’s staff have been working together for a long time. We’ve worked for a variety of employers – sometimes together, sometimes separately – but the opportunity to work in the environment Tekbit provides drew us away from our individual endeavors in an effort to create something larger than the sum of its parts. The Tekbit staff share a conviction about our business: it’s not just about the work, but also about growth, camaraderie, and the expansion of knowledge. There are other places we could work, but Tekbit allows us the freedom to pursue a loftier ideal in our workplace while still providing a valuable service to our clients.
Ben?!

BEN COVER, Founder

Ben brings more than ten years of professional-level IT industry experience to Tekbit. From an entry-level technician to IT manager to director of IT operations, Ben’s career path reflects a history of steady growth, strong technical aptitude, and respected leadership. As the founder of Tekbit, Ben is driven to ensure that client needs are always met and that client expectations are always exceeded. When Ben is not busy with his “unofficial” duties as company president, he can be found attending to his “official” duties as a dad to his two young children and as a husband to his wife Lisa. (Lisa is by far the better-looking of the pair.)
Dustin?!

DUSTIN SYSKO

Dustin has been working in the IT industry for nearly a decade. Much of Dustin’s expertise comes from his time spent supporting large corporate environments as a UNIX and network systems administrator. Dustin has also spent time working as a private computer and systems consultant, specializing in virtual offices and remote private networks. Dustin is also well versed in network troubleshooting, DNS management, router configuration, and security management. Dustin is a world-class competitive snowboarder and downhill mountain biker. And have we mentioned that he’s irresistibly charming?
Stephen?!

STEPHEN CRAFT

Stephen has been working in the computer industry professionally for seven years, with five additional years working as a freelance technician. Stephen’s focus is in the desktop arena, where he has developed desktop management solutions for companies ranging in size from 5 to 500 employees. These solutions entail regular software and hardware support, application training, new hardware implementation, backups, cloning, and streamlined deployment. While not at work, Stephen enjoys spending time with his new wife Stephanie. (Yes, he knows. Stephen and Stephanie – ooooh, how cute. Thanks.)
Lisa?!

LISA COVER

Lisa is in charge of Tekbit’s Web-content-maintenance service offerings. In addition to her Web work, Lisa also assists with the accounting and administrative needs of the company. When she is not involved with client- or company-related matters, Lisa enjoys being a world-class mom, traveling, and snowboarding. She’s also married to Ben, which makes her a saint in our book.

YOU ( YEAH, WE'RE HIRING ! ! ! )

Tekbit is looking to hire someone who is an outstanding helpdesk and systems engineer with strong Windows XP and Server 2003 experience. (A little Mac experience wouldn't hurt either!) Specifically, we're looking for someone whose personality will fit well with our company as well as with our clients. Someone whose personality is a good fit with the existing Tekbit staff will be given more consideration than someone with just a great skill set, although having crazy troubleshooting skills will certainly up your chances of getting hired. The Tekbit environment is very high-paced. You'll need to be able to juggle multiple tasks with multiple clients while still keeping up with the regularly scheduled stuff. You'll need to be flexible and think quickly on your feet. We need someone who is a fast learner and doesn't lose sight of the details -- we're all about the details. This position will require you to act as the IT manager for three to five small companies, so some driving will be required -- a reliable vehicle is a must. (We're working on acquiring a fleet of matching Lotus Elise coupes as the official company car. Hope that's all right with you. We should have those in, oh, say, 10 years.) The person who's the right fit will be exposed to lots of great people and lots of cool systems. Plus you will have the added benefit of working with the coolest folks in IT -- US! Check out the rest of the site to get a sense of what you'll be doing. Send us an email at jobs@tekbit.com if you think we might be a good fit for each other; we'd love to add your old black and white picture to our staff page.
